You are so slow.
Why shall you take this luggage with you?
You won't need all this wherever you go.
Hasten there is a train to catch!
Wait, my bag has a broken latch.
My luggage is falling on the floor.
Hasten they will close the station's door!

Hasten there is a train to catch!
Stop fidgeting I'm trying to snatch
anything that I can have on my way
or else I'll be led far astray.
Things are all of glass,
now with rough broken ends
that wound me,enough of this!
How hard I tried
to pull them back,
to put them right.
Should I leave all this behind?

So long my broken glass,
for my back you were a heavy mass.
Now, there is no need
for I begin to bleed,
but there is no time to heed,
as there is a train that I have to catch
or under its wheels let my body crush.[/eng][/font]

sometimes we can write better n faster in eng but remember arabic is strong n its survival is a must

ترجمت القصيده الانجليزيه(فهي شعر انجليزي)سوف نترجمها بمدد من عند الله و رسوله و ال بيت رسول الله


ترجمه حرفيه بفضل و مدد من عند الله و رسوله

و بعدها اقول ما فهمته من النص

علما ان الشعر لا يؤخذ علي وضع واحد فمن الممكن ان كل شخص يراه حسب ما هو ناظر اليه في حياته

قطار يجب الالحاق به

انت بطيء للغايه

لماذا لازم ان تاءخذ معك كل هذه المتاع

انت لا تحتاج الي كل هذا في اي مكان انت ذاهب اليه

اسرع هناك قطار يجب ان نلحق به

انتظر حقيبتي بها يد ممزقه

اغراضي تتساقت علي الارض

اسرع انهم سوف يغلقون باب المحطه



اسرع هناك قطار يجب ان نلحق به

اوقف القلق هذا اني احاول ان اخططف

اي شيء اقدر ان احضر معي للطريق

و الا اخذت بعيدا عن الطريق


كل الاشياء من الزجاج

و الان بحروف خشنه مكسوره

تسبب لي الجروح,كفا من هذا

كم حاولت بجهد

لاخذهم كما كانوا

و وضعهم في المكان الصحيح

هل اترك كل هذا وراء ظهري؟

الي القاء يا زجاجي المكسور

علي ظهري كنت كتله ثقيله

و الان لا حاجه

لاني بدءت انزف

و لاكن لا وقت لكي ءاخذ بالي

لوجود قطار وجب عليا ان الحق به

او تحت عجلاته اتلق جسدي يتفتت

طبعا اخي الفاضل هذه ترجمه فانت تعلم ان الكلام الذي يحتويه هذا الشعر اقوي بلغته

و كمان نظرا للاحاسيس التي وضعت فيه من الكاتبه
و لاكن عند قراءتك له تستطيع ان تعرف القصد و المقصود

فانا نظرت له علي انه القطار الي الحياه الابديه

و ان لم نلحق به في حياتنا هذه فقد نخسر خسران مبين

و نلقي بانفسنا في مهالك

و ان الكاتبه قالت سوف يغلقون باب المحطه

و اذا اغلق الباب فلا قبول بعدها

فوجب علينا الحركه السريعه

و لا حاجه لنا بتجميع اشياء و اغراض لن تنفع هناك

و وجب السرعه بدون تردد او قلق في الحركه

just wanted my brother to understand what u wrote

n i found it full of emotions

so i just had to share it with the rest

just like i said im sharing the special freedom of ur words with my ppl

the flow of words was like a river so u see every one must taste

n to taste is to try n treasure the feeling of freedom in ones mouth
yet letting ur taste buds get the luxurious taste

of what u have inside the box we call home

the pleasure must be passed on n its hard for one to translate his own feeling especially after doing so

First of all I don't know how to thank you for even caring to translate my poem. I don't think there is a reason for you to be sorry for translating the poem as I consider what you did as a kind of respect for myself not the contrary as you said. It really gave me some hope that I can find a place here. The translation really passed a lot of I wanted to say in the poem but "without any disrespect to you nor your translation" let me readapt some of the words you wrote to trasefer a full meaning in a translation of my own.

As you said art can be interpreted in many ways according to the view of the reader. So anyone can get out what he want out of any work of art according to his understanding. What you said in your comment on the poem can apply very much to it. In fact this was part of my intention when I wrote it. The train here stands for life in general that never stops for anybody. We all have to catch up with it or else we will have no place on board. I wanted also to say "never cry over the spilt milk" . We all have to try more than once to reach what we want. We musn't leave ourselves to pain and despair because as long as we are breathing we are still living and have to apply to the rules of life. It can also apply to religion as Almighty God said in the Holy Qur'an that we musn't give up his mercy upon us no matter how big the sin was. We have to do our best to gain salvation and reconsiliation.

Second,thank you also for your advice for me to start writing in Arabic. I really want to because after all I'm a Muslim and an Arab and respect very much my language and love it. I'm just waiting for the inspiration of something good as I won't respect myself if I didn't write something that dosen't worth reading.... [/eng]

You asked me why I didn't write in Arabic because of the problem of the non English speakers. Actually, the day I started writing I started it in English. I didn't do that on purpose but I think this is a reflection of my studies at school and college and nothing more. That dosen't mean that I don't like writing in Arabic, not at all. I love Arabic and I have never seen a language in the world that has the power of its expression or the musicality of its words. I intend, God willing, to start writing in Arabic as soon as I find a good starting point for me to begin from. Thank you and God bless you.[/eng]

Thank you so much for your words. As you said there is a varaity of issues on all levels to talk about here and this was the first thing that encouraged me to join this forum. This is done within different literarly genres like poetry and prose. I just pray to God that what I write here could serve the purpose of the forum and this is how I can get my place here. Add to this the connection that the forum makes between the people all over the Arab world. Really our state is not encouraging by any means. We all suffer from being disconnected and losing grip over our situation on all scenes. However, there are people who try their best to change this situation and leave their print. I pray to God that we could get back the glory we had once. It breaks our hearts to see that we are falling apart and lots of us are just watching what's happening around. God bless you[/eng]
